About Us
Little Forest Pre-School is open for 51 weeks of the year. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm catering for childcare from 2 to rising 5’s.
Our environment aims to provide children with a stimulating environment through which they can develop in all areas and we will promote the love of learning enabling them to move successfully into their next stage of education.
We pride ourselves on our exceptional outdoor areas and Montessori inspired classroom. We offer extra curricular activities such as sports, dance and more. We have exclusive use of an indoor and outdoor ball court and a custom designed forest area.
Our prepared environment offers the children a range of Montessori equipment and other complimentary resources.

I have worked within Early Years for over 8 years, and I am so proud of Little Forest Preschool. I love the Montessori ethos and offering lots of extra-curricular activities and being able to offer the children in our care a safe and welcoming environment to enhance their love of learning. I am super proud of LFP!

I have worked with children for over 20 years in many roles including managerial roles as well as 5 years covering teachers in primary school, which have all complimented my passion for Early Years! I have 2 children of my own aged 16 and 4 and love singing, dancing, art and local walks. This is my first time as Manager, and I love being part of our amazing team and Little Forest Family!

I have been working with children and young people for over 15 years and have a real passion for special education needs. I have two children aged 15 and 21 and we are a real geeky family that love playing board games and Dungeons & Dragons together. I’m a Beaver Scout Leader in my spare time and am crazy about sloths!

I have my own 3 girls, and we love holidays and travel! Little Forest Preschool has the most delightful children and caring staff.

Pre- school age is my favourite because I love getting to know all their unique personalities and every day is just so different. In my spare time I love spending time with my friends, shopping, going to concerts and doing karaoke!

After studying early years education in college, I am so excited to start my early years journey with Little Forest Preschool. All our children are so unique and lovely to work with, our staff are so lovely and caring towards the children. I also have my own little boy who is 1.
Fees & Funding
Little Forest Pre-School is open for 51 weeks of the year and is closed for Bank holidays and for 1 week over the Christmas period. We are open Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. We offer three sessions. Our Morning session is 8am-1pm, our Afternoon session is 1pm-5pm and you also have the option of a Full day session which is 8am-5pm. As per our Terms and Conditions we ask for a minimum of two sessions per week.
“Little Forest are brilliant in every aspect. The children are happy, they are fulfilled and they have diverse activities planned for them that are varied based upon their age and development.
The staff know my child as an individual and give detailed and specific feedback on his day and his progress. The daily app updates on sleep and food are useful and the once a week photos and more detailed feedback is much more constructive and considered than the daily updates I’ve experienced at other nurseries. I think this reduced photo taking and feedback writing is an improvement, as more time is spent hands on with the children.
We found the settling in process very smooth, well organised and adaptable to how my child was getting on.
He happily has his lunchtime nap and enjoys mealtimes with his friends.
He loves the outside space: the forest and football lessons on the ballcourt, and the indoor ballcourt when the weather is horrible. We feel very lucky he has plenty of time and space to burn his energy off and play with friends.
On the admin side, I’ve been really pleased with the organisation and communication. The recent chickenpox outbreak was well communicated and steps detailed on what to do. The 15/30 hours are explained and organised for us. All emails / questions are responded to incredibly quickly.
I genuinely have nothing I would like to be improved, I find every part of the nursery brilliant.”
